A panel asks macroeconomic policy questions for 30-45 minutes. If you are just out of school, they also ask you to describe your thesis/dissertation in language someone not trained in economics would understand. Be prepared for plenty of follow questions on the nitty gritty of your initial response. No wiggle room!
