SEO & Website Strategy Senior Manager Interview

      Feb 20, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Included Health (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2026

      Interview

The interview process was excessively long, fragmented, and burdensome. It required multiple rounds, panel presentations, and strategic deliverables that felt disproportionate to the role and timeline. The cumulative time investment was significant, especially for a senior-level candidate balancing other professional responsibilities. At several points, the amount of detailed strategic work requested raised concerns about whether candidates were being evaluated or used to generate ideas. When an interview process begins to resemble consulting work without compensation, it signals a lack of respect for candidates’ time and expertise. There was limited clarity around timeline, decision-making authority, and feedback. The process felt inefficient and unnecessarily drawn out. Additionally, the panel composition raised questions about role clarity and internal alignment. Junior team members were included in evaluating a senior-level position, and some questioning felt more defensive than collaborative. For leadership roles, it is critical that interview panels reflect clear reporting lines and strategic alignment rather than internal role ambiguity.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your interview experience. We’re sorry to hear the process felt fragmented and burdensome. We understand the significant time investment required, especially for senior-level candidates, and regret that it felt disproportionate to the role. We take concerns about the scope of deliverables and their purpose seriously. Our goal is to create a process that respects candidates’ time and expertise, and we apologize if this was not your experience. Additionally, we regret the lack of clarity around the timeline, decision-making, and feedback, as well as your concerns about panel composition and alignment for a senior-level role. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our process, and we appreciate the time and effort you invested. We wish you the very best in your career journey.
