I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Austin, TX) in May 2016
Interview
Received an automated "We came across your profile/wanted to reach out to you about an opportunity with Insight global" message from a corporate recruiter in Dallas. From there I had a phone screening with him which was pretty easy. He was friendly and helpful and even called me before my interview to make sure I didn't have any last minute questions. Finally I had an in-person interview. It was kind of dull and I didn't really feel like I connected with the interviewer. I had high expectations for the company that were let down. After meeting/interviewing with other recruiting firms, it is very obvious insight global clearly only targets one personality type reguardless of professionalism. All we really talked about was my sorority, my plans for the weekend. Interviewer also bragged about how him and his co-workers were getting a party bus for the weekend "just because." While this did sound very fun and made the atmosphere seem very appealing, I felt like asking questions about my social life/how drunk I get on the weekends was a poor indicator of what the company values in their employees.
I applied online. I interviewed at Insight Global (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jun 2026
Interview
Smooth phone screening process. I felt like my answers were adequately answered and I am interested to learn more. I am hesitant as the position does seem like it may be too good to be true.
Small talk is the most importantly part of the interview process. They hire soley for personality and drive so if you show you can be natural with conversation that sets you apart.
easy just have to know how to small talk. they look for depth in your answers and how you can push yourself to be better. they just want to see that you can drive the conversation and be curious about the positon. no experience necesarry.. easy but tbh toxic work env iroment
