I was sent a message by a corporate recruiter through linkedin to set up an on-campus interview. This was a short 15 minute interview where they simply went over what the position entailed. About three weeks later, I finally heard back and I was asked to come to their office for a second round interview where I spoke with the director of operations. It was very conversational, he asked questions like where am I from, about the sports I played, my major, and asked if I had questions (I brought in at least 10) He then took me into the office where I met every single employee as they all got out of their seat to shake my hand. After this I was brought back into the conference room where I met with an account manager, again very conversational (no interview type questions). I was then asked to come back for a lunch interview which was with the director of operations and a sales manager. This was about and hour and a half long where we all just got to know each other. Towards the end they again went over the position and mentioned that account manager averages $125k/yr. I was then brought back to the office where I spoke with another account manager. I was told I would hear back within two days at the latest, but a week had gone by and still nothing. I then called to find out I was not offered the job and she had no feedback other then "they decided to go another direction" Everything seemed to go very well and I was very confused as to why I did not get the position. Just seems like a lot of my time was wasted.

I was messaged by a recruiter on linkedin and had a phone call with her, and then was set up with a first round interview with one of the sales managers for the office I applied for. In this interview I found the questions asked to be very strangely worded for it to be a sales job.
