First of all, I never applied for this position. A recruiter reached out to me via Linked In and offered me an on campus interview, which I went to. This interview was super casual, they didn't ask me any questions about my education, experience, or skills or anything. I got asked to a second interview in the office (Washington DC) and went. It took about a week or two to hear back from them about another round. In the office I was met by my recruiter who gave me a pep talk on how to impress my interviewers, he was helpful. The in office interview lasted about an hour and a half and I was interviewed by one lady first, then two ladies, then a man, and then I got a tour of the office and every single person stood up to shake my hand. Kinda cool but very rehearsed. After that it took about two weeks for me to hear back about another interview. Everyone who works there is attractive and skinny. I got a call back and was invited to a lunch interview. I was supposed to go to lunch with 3 people, and only one of the 3 names I was given actually went to lunch with me and my recruiter never called me the day before to "prep" me like he emailed me and said he would. The lunch went well, but I guess I didn't talk enough. I was asked at the beginning if I had any questions and then she asked me what my understanding was of the recruiter and account manager role, which was very odd compared to the previous interviews which didn't really require me to think or recall any knowledge for. I was told I would hear back by the first half of the next week as I was interviewed on a Friday, and I heard back on the following Thursday that I didn't get the job. I was told it was nothing I did or said, but it was a matter of competition? Im honestly a little relieved because I've read all the reviews of the company on glassdoor and it seems like they have a reputation of being vain. Everyone was super nice and very social though. My advice to anyone interviewing is if you aren't applying to this job and they contact you, MAKE SURE its something you REALLY want to do, because otherwise they probably aren't really considering you. I think they have to interview a minimum number of people for the position and it was odd that they reached out to me, as I am an urban planning major. A lady who interviewed me told me that 80% of the people they hire were involved in Greek Life, and honestly I'm surprised that number isn't 100%. Those interviews felt exactly like sorority recruitment (I'm in a sorority) and I wouldn't want my job/career to feel like sorority recruitment. If you aren't 100% interested in this position and company, don't waste your time. I wish someone would have told me that before I spent all the money and time driving to DC 2 different times.
