To get a few things out of the way: I was originally contacted by Insight Global over a year ago related to another position that I was unable to pursue due to my location at the time. When they contacted me again for this new opportunity, I was pleasantly surprised. Its good to see a recruiting agency that keeps tabs on people for when new opportunities open up that they feel would be a good fit for them. I'm also glad to say that their staff who contacted me on day 1 are the exact same individuals who I have been speaking with over the entirety of this process. This has helped a lot in making the process feel personal, and that I wasn't getting shuffled around to different people who weren't familiar with my situation or needs. My initial interview for the position was over the phone with the Insight Global Staff. This covered the basic qualifications for the position as well as a brief technical interview. It also allowed for a good breakdown of the position as far as what their client was looking for in a person. Following the phone interview with Insight Global, I was onsite at their client's office for an in-person interview within a week. Insight Global staff were present at the location, and this being a client that had worked with for some time, were able to give me some excellent pointers to assist in the interview. The interview itself was a panel interview with an Insight Global employee in the room to be able to answer any questions I had during the interview that might fall more under their purview. The client interview was mostly technical in retrospect. They covered my experience with their equipment, but also spent roughly the same amount of time concerning topics related to working with the team they would place me in. After the interview was complete, it did take around 3 weeks to hear final "yes" from the client as I was one of the first individuals they interviewed. During that time waiting though, I received ~weekly calls from the team at Insight Global with updates and great feedback so there was very little feeling of "being left in the dark" while I was waiting on the answer.
