I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intercom (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2016
Interview
I applied on intercoms website to which I received the first part of the interview. This consisted of 5 questions to get your thought process on various situations. I was then contacted by the recruiter in Intercom who kindly advised me of the next steps. I had two telephone interviews, one with the recruiter and the other with the manager for the experience co-ordinator. Both interviews went very well and they both lasted around 30-40 minutes. The interviews on the telephone asked about my previous experience and also many scenarios that may happen on a day to day basis and how I would deal with these. I made it to the final stage in the Intercom building. The recruiter showed me around and I was then brought into a meeting room in which I was advised three separate people would join me in the meeting room after half hour intervals. I felt all three interviews went well.
Unfortunately, the following day I received a phone call to say I was unsuccessful as another candidate had more experience. The only part of the whole process I can fault is that when I received the news that another candidate had more experience I emailed the recruiter from Intercom regarding more feedback so I can improve my approach for future interviews and any further feedback was welcomed. To this day I am still awaiting an email back.
