I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intercom (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2025
Interview
Had 3 step interview in total before got ghosted - no feedback, no automated email. Asked for a feedback once - silence.
There are more stages than I went through - you'll be well before informed about those during the 1st round with recruiter over the phone.
That was a nice talk. Felt they really need a developer but they needed as much candidates in their pipeline as they could get as they are extremely picky and left with not many candidates who are still willing to interview with them. They are so desperate to pull one into the interview process that they promise to work through the work visa sponsorship, yes, they consider people from non EU countries as well or they say so.
Their second part of the 2nd round tells me they are looking for people with same mindset and aspirations. If you are not one of them - you are out of luck.
I wish they start with the values assessment part instead of coding challenge which comes right before the values part to save some time for the candidate and themselves as they waste their resources as well.
All in all:
1. Recruiter: 5/5,
2. Recruiter after being rejected(I guess I was - as nothing has been told, messaged whatsoever) for ghosting: 1/5.
3. Coding challenge: 5/5.
4. Values assessment 5/5 but
5. Considering this feels like a "mine field" - 1/5 as it is a waste of your time.
Company can waste their resources as much as they want while they have such a high bar of their own priorities and not some general common sense attributes they are looking for.
So I say it is a waste of time indeed.
Bottom line:
5 marks and 17 points = 3.4
Despite 3.4 I am disappointed by completely ghosting. Why? Because my expectations were they will at least send an automated message as they made you feel the communication is as important for them as for you. Even candidate.fyi platform doesn't save them from being one of the worst recruiting teams in the industry as they do not bother to update your candidate status - which will die off after some period of time or they reject them in bulk as stale profiles which were not selected to proceed.
Disappointment - my expectation of them didn't meet the reality for a basic courtesy.

Question 1
For coding challenge - you will find it in the previous
Interview review, word for word. For values - same - look the previous interview for Product Engineer, no matter senior or not position that they describe - they are valuable.
And look how many were Declined - your time, your call.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Intercom (Berlin) in May 2026
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and agreed to take part in the interview process. Received an email days later about the full interview process. If you are attentive here, you'd see the question for the problem solving interview. Unfortunately for me I wasn't able to finish it under 50 mins as I had to process my thoughts and explain them as I code. I thought I did enough to at least get to the next round but apparently I didn't.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intercom (Dublin, Dublin) in Sep 2025
Interview
One Leetcode style question, hiring manager chat, small edit on an existing project and a data modelling round. No system design interview for any level. Mostly worried only about data modelling for some weird reason.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Priority Queue based leetcode, college level chat system like project to make edits, another RDBMS related stuff, then a weird hiring manager chat.
Recruiter screen, then role-specific task (coding or written). Next comes a technical/values interview, followed by a multi-round onsite: pair programming, system design, product chat, and cultural fit. Process is structured and thorough; candidates highlight strong organisation but note occasional tooling issues and slow feedback.
