      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ionic

      Interview

The interview process was thorough and ultimately very rewarding. It consisted of multiple phone and zoom meetings with department members and members of the greater Ionic team. It required a lot of professional and personal reflection and was overall very casual. I felt very at ease speaking with each member of the Ionic team, and I could tell they were truly interested in seeing if we were a mutual fit for one another. I would recommend this experience to anyone considering applying for a position at Ionic.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ionic (New York, NY) in Mar 2022

      Interview

I guess all I can say is that I am very disappointed in the lack of communication from Ionic at the end of this interview process. I went out of my way to move around my busy calendar to accommodate their interview schedule as one of the folks they wanted me to meet with for my final interview was going on vacation for a few weeks and when it was all said and done I received a generic "We appreciate your interest but we've made the decision to not move forward at this time." email. I'm sorry, but you don't have the professional courtesy to call me and let me know this and see if I had any questions as to why? I invested at least five hours between researching your company to be prepared for my interviews as well as the three interview calls themselves, yet you cannot afford five minutes to get on a call with me? And to make matters even worse I followed up to the email asking for more information as to why they passed as I felt things went very well throughout the entire process and have since been ghosted which is extremely unprofessional. If you disrespect potential candidates like this I can only imagine how poorly you may treat your actual employees.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The first two interviews were more or less "getting to know you" calls, but the third was a deep dive on my work history asking why I left, what challenges I faced, how my managers would rate my performance, etc.
