Interview
I went to the markets internship assessment centre. The experience overall was good- stressful, as you would expect from a banking day, but the people we're all friendly and learnt a lot from the experience.
The day started with a 'speed meeting' round, where you had about 5 20 minute interviews with different desks. Then, if one of them liked you/wanted to progress your application, you were asked to stay behind for more interviews in the afternoon.
They did a networking lunch for everyone which was nice, and then in the afternoon I had a further 5 interviews with different desks. These varied in style as they were less structured- you interviewed upstairs on the trading floor rather than in the meeting rooms where you'd been located that morning. Some desks had me interview with everyone in the team, others it was just the relevant ED on the desk.
The questions were hard, but not overly complex- why banking, if you had £10,000 how would you invest it, how many footballs can you fit in an olympic sized swimming pool etc.
JP Morgan HireVue process is a timed, one-way video interview, typically the first screening step, where you record answers to behavioral and sometimes technical questionsYou get limited prep time (e.g., 30-120 seconds) and a couple of attempts (often one re-try) to answer each question within a set time (e.g., 90-120 seconds).

Hirevue and it was pretty hard not gonna lie. But it’s understandable given the size of the firm. They take a while to get back to you but don’t ghost like some firms.
