I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (London, England) in May 2020
Interview
Very brief (20-30 mins) Zoom discussions for each stage (3). Still wondering if this was intentional or just a way of going through the motions / box ticking exercise (i.e. predetermined outcome). There's very little I can add that would be of benefit to anyone looking to gain insight from this experience.
One thing to note is how generally poor the process is. For an organisation as large and capable as JPM is, with sections of recruitment off-shored to various parts of the world, it can't be inconceivable to expect a better, less painful (annoying) experience. The communication between each stage is really bad (barely existent) and is at best formulated; it leaves a strong impression that the chaps in India might be forbidden from any type of contact / off script communication with interviewees expect to determine a suitable time to book and to send out standard email messages. Despite the text (of the emails) claiming that a dedicated recruiter does indeed exist and assuring that proactive contact would be made by this person - i.e. "your recruiter" - at the end of each interview, the elusive individual never was. So I do have to wonder: what's the point? Why bother pretending/claiming there is any "experience" to be expected when there really isn't? Unless a "bad experience" is the aim. On the other hand it is good to know that JPM is very generous and happy to pay a large number of (recruitment) individuals a whole lot to do very little if anything at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Considering the amount of time allocated, these interviews were more or less high-level chats that briefly touched on the role and lacked much substance. Perfunctory "walk me through your CV" should perhaps be expected...
The whole process went pretty smoothly and quick. 3 rounds of interviews with different levels of colleagues in that firm. Ask about previous experience and behavior questions. Interviewers are nice and respected my time
Met with the senior members of the deal and then junior members. Was really focused on getting to know each other and industry knowledge, relevant transaction experience and what I did on each transaction.

Question 1
To define certain sub sectors of the industry and trends that are going on.
Easy technical interview in 1st round but did not get much feedback when rejected. Most likely better candidates. Asked for feedback but did not get any response in return. interviewer did not get into any details.
