I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Mumbai) in Jan 2015
Interview
This was a job opening for developer/analyst role for reference data delivery solutions project.
The interview process was very disappointing though. The interviewer was not interested in knowing anything about my current project. As a matter of fact he didn't even asked me whats my role in the current prj. It was me who mentioned it deliberately.
As the introduction was over, he asked me about my comfort level of writing database queries. He gave a single query. And left the room. After 5 mins another person came in and asked me : "Do you need more time for the query?" . I gave the query to him and he asked me to main. 2 mins later they asked me to leave for the day.
I mean this is unfair. Totally ridiculous. You cannot judge a person based on one single query. You need to ask more questions. At-least few java related questions for that matter, coz guess what, it was for Java developer role. And this thing happened with many candidates that day.People leaving in just 5 mins. Just one tricky question and no other chance. Is this real evaluation?
Rather than asking qns abt prj, he was interested in the reasons for leaving my current company, wanted to know some juicy answers I guess.

The Process was quick and professional. Interview was scheduled, and within a couple of days it started. However due to audio issues from Interviewer side, it was hard to understand. However we went through and I answered their questions.
