I applied online. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Paris) in May 2022
Interview
1 - The job description was very superficial: it didn't for which division it was or the level necessary. It was very generic
2 - I was sent an email for an initial interview proposal for a job in Paris by someone based in Poland. I tried to look up the name of the person and could not find it. I thought it really strange not to be interviewed by someone where the job will be held.
3 - The person who interviewed me had no infor to give on the job apart from what was in the description. The person seemed very junior and their english was really average.
4 - All in all I was asked 3 questions
5 - I felt like i was being interviewed by a robot who was doing triage in a hospital.
Overall, it doesn't scream "we're a HUMAN based company" but more "You're just another brick in the wall"
Says it all
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you live in Paris?
How much do you want?
Why do you want to leave your current job?
Poor communication. The recruiter was 15 minutes late to my phone screen due to technical issues, which I understood. During the call, we scheduled an interview with the hiring manager, and I was told a Zoom invite would be sent. The invite never came, and despite following up, I never received a response. Candidates invest time preparing for interviews and deserve clear communication and basic follow-through. Respecting applicants’ time and effort should be a basic part of the hiring process.
Lengthy, unorganized, and extremely unprofessional. The HR process leaves a lot to be desired. The HR I interacted with didn't realize she hadn't ended our call, and proceeded to speak negatively about me to her colleagues about me. Just a poorly ran organization I'm glad I didn't work for.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY)
Interview
interviewers were really nice, very HR minded - must fit job description posted. straight forward questions - tell me about yourself, why do you want to leave your current job, etc.
