Interview
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Tampa, FL) in March 2022. Interview conducted by 4 people, mostly they were asking questions based on your experience, my major experience was in Java so most of the questions are based on Java related. They will ask about the development, deployment etc. process you follow in the current organization. I was preparing for the AWS certification so after knowing that they asked me 60% of questions on AWS and 40% on JAVA, Oracle, development, deployment process etc. Finally they came up with very basic offer for the person who is having 14 years of experience. - The offer was barely 6 digit per year which will not change for next 2 years - Bonus is max 15k but for the next 2 years it can be anything between 0 to 15k because they asked me to join in middle of 2022 so in 2022 my performance appraisal cannot be done and based on 2023 performance I will get actual bonus in 2024. - Job Relocation was 5k, If I change job within 1 year I have to return 5k, If I move out in second year of my employment then need to return 2.5k - No I140 for next 2 years and after 2 years there will be no guarantee that they will do it. In all, a very poor experience. I have already informed before the interview that if JP cannot sponsor for I140 then dont waste my time and your time in interview process. Very disorganized hiring process. Communication was terrible. The manager started speaking about your cost to company like H1 sponsorship during the interview process itself. I will not be considering JP Morgan ever again.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly related to your current Development process related to SCRUM, development, deployment etc. Java related and AWS services
The interview was with 2 people. They didn't seem ready to provide additional training and wanted someone who could jump straight into the work. The interview was more a test of knowledge and React concepts than a test of aptitude. Considering the role was 5 days in the office, I don't think I'd thrive in the environment the interviewers provided.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked the difference between a useState hook and a useRef hook.

Question 1
Tech - DSA and language specific questions Managerial - Project and design
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in Jan 2023
Interview
1. Hackerank Test : 2 leetcode medium
2. Technical Round - Remember anything and everything about Java in general. Databases were created so that no one has to through ledger records every time they want to get any info, but I guess JPMC employees aren’t aware of stackoverflow/Google and expect precise answers to anything about Java. Pretty dumb I would say not using your brain to build intelligent systems rather filling it up with Java knowledge. Glad I wasn’t eligible for the next round. Best of luck to them to find the employees who have mugged up the entire Java book.
Two Leetcode Medium questions : they don’t expect to run the code but discuss your approach and edge cases which I think I did decent and came to the most optimal solution.
3. The 2nd Technical round which was scheduled was cancelled.
