I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (London, England) in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied online, completed relevant numeracy test and was invited to assessment centre. Assessment centre started with Case Study evaluating positions on stock on 3 different companies, detailing whether a position should be to hold, sell or buy given the financials provided. Subsequently, there were several hours of interviews, more or less depending on how many desks were interested in you. Expect at least 3 half-hour interviews in the morning and at least one hour-long interview in the afternoon if you are to be successful. Candidates were sent home throughout the day. Most interviews began with a few competency based/ CV question and then follow on with a brain-teaser and finally discussing the current markets and economic news. Interviewers were typically direct, especially at the beginning, however it was not difficult to build a rapport and the interviewers were kind and friendly.
