I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at JCPenney in Oct 2016
Interview
I came in and there were four other people interviewing for the same job. The first step was a group interview. The person gave us each one paper with four ideas on them. We had to pick one and then make a sales pitch to the group about why JCPenney should implement that certain idea/program. Then, after everyone makes a pitch, the group has to make a consensus on which program was the best. The idea isn't to get your pitch chosen, but to advocate for yours or someone else's and explain why its the better choice. The manager/ person there said that they aren't looking for the winner of the sales pitches, but they are looking at how well we advocate for certain things and how we all interacted with one another. Mine and this other girl's sales pitch got chosen, only because we coincidentally chose the same sales pitch. Then, the manager/ person took us one by one for a one-on-one interview. It was fairly easy. The interviewer was very nice and friendly. Make sure you greet people when you see them, even other employees there. The interviewer said she noticed me doing that when I first walked in.

Question 1
Name a time where you worked in a group, tell me your contribution to the group and how you made the project better because of your contribution
It was overall an easy interview. In a group setting of interviewees, we were asked to each talk about what we thought good customer service was. Then, we had some blocks to build a structure, a house I remember. Without the person you were instructing being able to see the blueprint, you had to describe what to do with the blocks without touching the blocks. I didn't know how I did, but I got hired. This was the holidays of 2017. :)
