Meet as group first then they took us aside separately to interview. They welcomed questions. Honestly I think they were in dire need of people for the holidays. I spent more time asking questions then being questioned. The hiring manager was very nice. But the assistant I spoke with on the phone after and before was not. She was rude and acting as if she was wasting her time talking with me. The hiring manager offered me a job but was not able to offer the hourly rate I requested. She was going to put it through to a higher power and request they pay me the higher rate (which I saw on Glassdoor). However, the next morning the assistant called and was rude again. She implied there was not way she was going to let them pay me more. If I wanted the job she said I had to take it at the lower rate. I declined the job.

What do you think about the request to ask customers if they are interested in the JCPenney's card?
It was overall an easy interview. In a group setting of interviewees, we were asked to each talk about what we thought good customer service was. Then, we had some blocks to build a structure, a house I remember. Without the person you were instructing being able to see the blueprint, you had to describe what to do with the blocks without touching the blocks. I didn't know how I did, but I got hired. This was the holidays of 2017. :)

I got a phone call to schedule an interview, which was quick and convenient. In the interview, one of the managers asked me star scenario questions and asked why I wanted to work for JCP. At the end of the interview, I got an offer.
