I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JD Group (Stoke-on-Trent, England) in Jul 2012
Interview
Meet with the store manager on a first interview - if this is passed then invited to a second interview with the area manager. I had both interviews in coffee shops around the area, they met me in there and they lasted about an hour each. It wasn't the most formal of interviews, they wanted to get to know you as a person more than anything. A few scenario based questions e.g. tell em a time when, how do, what would you do, has there been a time when etc.
I have had a few interviews for similar roles and this was by far the most laid back of them all - even with the area manager at the time.

Interview
My interview was very typical. There was an initial phone screen with HR and then an in person interview with the store manager, then a final phone interview with the regional.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JD Group (Glasgow, Scotland) in Oct 2017
Interview
Really straightforward. Applied online and uploaded cv. Had a basic recruitment phone interview with some “what would you do..” type questions. Then a face to face interview with the area manager. Again nothing too difficult, nothing specific to sports or fashion.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JD Group in May 2016
Interview
Too much dreams sold
No actual questions
The interviewer spoke more than me
It felt like a chat
Interviewer was laid back and had already made their mind up
They just ignored what i was saying and changed the subject
