Applied through a job board and had a 10-15 minute phone screen with the recruiter followed by a 30 minute zoom call. Zoom call probably would have been longer; however, I could tell through the trajectory of the questioning that the recruiter had shifted to try and "skill-market" me instead of discussing this position. When I called the recruiter out on this, she advised me that they "like to keep the interviews general" and that for the position I applied for it "wasn't worth a conversation" so instead they want to try to find other job matches for me with other companies. I found this extremely disrespectful - I applied for this position , not to be a client of JFC Staffing. If I was not a fit for this role, the recruiter should have advised me of this instead of switching over to "recruit" me as a client. The lack of transparency even in interviewing (bait-and-switch) was inappropriate and gives me no confidence or desire to be associated with this company in any way. Very unprofessional behavior.
