During the solo interview, the interviewer was friendly and the questions were reasonable. The subsequent group interview was more challenging. I found it was important to remember that it is not all about showcasing your knowledge, but being polite and respectful to your fellow applicants.

What was your favourite course in university and why?
Pretty straight forward interview process. 2 long interviews with at least 2 people. The department I interviewed for seemed really easy going. One issue is that you’ll have to bring up pay/compensation during the interviews.

Thorough and thought provoking questions. The partner was friendly, approachable and asked me some case law-related questions. HR was also present. I also asked questions and was provided with a good understanding of how the team I was interviewing for operated, as well as the broader firm mission and values.
