I applied in-person. I interviewed at Kate Spade New York
Interview
Walked in to hand in my resume and spoke to the store manager directly for a pseudo first interview. Then asked to come in for a second one, the real one. The interview felt more like a conversation with a friend. I felt very welcomed the first moment I started the process.
(This was a long time ago though, so I think you need to apply online nowadays. But it's always good to pop into your store and introduce yourself!)

Called by manager for an in person interview. The in person interview I was asled around 10-15 competency based questions and generic questions about past experience. Wasn’t told that I didn’t get the role so I had to call the number over a week later and told the position was already filled.

Interview
Quick and easy, and the management was friendly and open-minded. The interview was only about 20 minutes with a lot of room to ask my own questions and get an understanding of the team and work environment, and most importantly the management expectations.
