Interview
I was invited to interview for Kate Spade via email as the store had not yet opened. What they failed to tell me was that I was not interviewing for the position I applied for (Assistant Manager). It was also pointed out that I would receive a follow up email the day of the interview for further instructions. I never got that email but made a point of following up myself prior to the interview. No response. The interview lasted an hour and in my opinion I thought I knocked it out of the park. I interviewed with the Store and Assistant Manager and the three of us played off each other well. There were no unusual questions, the conversation flowed nicely with everyone asking questions and making jokes. At the end the SM told me her first choice for me was Sales Supervisor and that she was interviewing more people and would let me know Monday. I asked if they would be calling either way and the response I received was "ya I will definitely call you on Monday". I promptly followed up with a thank you email to both the Assistant and Store Manager. Never received a response which made me nervous, but I chalked it up to them being busy interviewing other people. Never received a phone call.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kate Spade New York
Interview
Was interviewed by the store manager, then the area manager, then the district manager. Everyone was very nice, and professional. They really just wanted to know my management style, and expectations.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kate Spade New York
Interview
I have never interviewed with a company that is so disorganized. The store manager lost my application/resume twice, not to mention I had to interview with two different DM's because the first one disappeared after I interviewed with her which is the last step in the interview process. All together it took about a month to get a firm "no" you didn't get the job, from the store manager.

Question 1
None, if you have half a brain you will run the interview. I was asked what I did in my off time and what kind of wine did I drink. Super unprofessional questions.
