Straight-forward interview with the assistant store manager. Friendly and relatively casual, asked questions related to their company qualities (scrappy being one) and previous experience in retail sales. About a half hour or less, called me back quickly about the role.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kate Spade New York (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2024
Interview
I applied on their website and got an email for an interview. Was told to bring resume. The manager was kind of rude when I walked in store with my resume as she was trying her best to avoid me and walk away from my view. I had to practically follow her around and then was told to sit down and wait. Was told bunch of basic questions which I believe answered well. I said I have open availability and then I was dismissed. It has been a while since I heard back, and of course I was ghosted. I did not receive any emails regarding my status so which can only mean one thing. I can't help but think if I was not selected because of my appearance even though I dressed up well and showed professionalism.
I have noticed that luxury brands tend to have little to no people of my own background (ethnicity) .
