I applied online. I interviewed at Kendo in Jul 2020
Interview
Applied on the careers site and heard back about a week later to set up a call. The call was strange - the recruiter just asked questions at me constantly and I could hear her in the background typing. There was zero chat. Not even a "ok great, thanks" after answering a question. At about the 20 min mark we were done with that and I thought "oh great, now is my turn to ask some further questions about the role, team, company etc" which is standard practice I would have thought as it is a two way street. But, instead, she abruptly said "ok, thanks, bye!" and hung up. I had NO time to ask even a single question. Pretty disappointing as I have really relevant experience (could easily talk to every point on the job description), and had worked at a direct competitor. Three email follow ups later and silence. Guess I dodged a bullet, but there definitely seems to be a theme here. Step up your game Kendo!
