I applied for the position and received an email requesting a phone interview with a Kendo recruiter. The phone interview took around 45 minutes. The person I spoke with was very friendly, discussed the work environment as well as pay. Everything sounded great. She did inform me that if everything went well and they offer me the position, the total process would take between 3-4 weeks. She presented me to her team and requested another interview, but this time it would be with 2 other assistants.
I met with them the following week via zoom. The total interview was 35 minutes. The girls I spoke with again were very friendly. After interviewing with them, they informed me that they would present me for the next step.
A few days later I received an email requesting an interview with the manager for the executive assistants. Of course, I agreed. A week later I met with her, the interview lasted around 15 minutes. Days later I received an email requesting for me to do a power point project for them, and that would determine the next steps in the hiring process. They did request me to complete the project within 2 days, or 1 week if needed because it was the week of Thanksgiving. I completed it that day and heard from them a week later.
They requested my availability for 2 zoom interviews with the main executives that I would support. The day of my interview I had an emergency and had to fly out of state. I informed them of my emergency and asked to reschedule. They were understanding. I provided them my upcoming availability and they continued to ask me if I could just make myself available although I already informed them that I was out of state and could not meet at the times requested. We ended up finding a time the following week that would work.
Prior to my interviews I came to the conclusion that this interview process has been absolutely ridiculous, I had already interviewed with 4 people, completed a project in a very timely manner, then was asked to make myself available when I specifically said I was not available. Meanwhile it was already over 5 weeks in to the interview process. I take my job very seriously, but who takes that long to hire an EA??
I kindly informed them that I felt as if the position was not a great fit for me and thanked them for their time. They sent cancellation emails for zoom, but never responded back to my email. Very unprofessional to say the least.
