Kindle Education interview questions

My interview process with Kindle Education began with a virtual interview and then moved to an in-person interview at the school. The in-person interview lasted close to two hours and included repetitive questioning and an unexpected task that did not feel aligned with the role I was applying for. Some questions also felt less focused on professional strengths and more geared toward prompting criticism of previous workplaces, which I found unnecessary. I was later invited to conduct a demo lesson. However, I was not informed in advance about the space I would be using. As a Physical Education teacher, knowing the environment is essential for lesson planning, safety, and classroom management. I was informed approximately an hour before the demo that the school does not have a gym, which significantly impacts how a lesson is structured. That information should have been communicated ahead of time. After the demo lesson, there was no formal debrief with one of the founders, which made the process feel incomplete and somewhat disorganized. Overall, the experience lacked clear communication and structure. As a candidate, I value transparency, preparation, and professionalism in the hiring process. I hope the organization considers refining its interview practices to better reflect the integrity and organization it likely aims to instill in its school community.
