It took about two weeks after I applied to get an email back saying they wanted a phone interview. The phone interview was easy and only took about ten minutes, then we scheduled an in-person interview. When I showed up to the interview, my interviewer wasn't there, so they had me leave my phone number and promised a call back. Over the next few weeks, I called a few times and each time was promised that the HR department would call me soon to set up another interview. They never did.
After a while, I decided to apply at another nearby King Soopers. Got an email back within a few days and did the phone interview the next day. They asked the same questions and I got an in-person interview easily, but the scheduling system crashed and they had to call me back a few hours later to set up an interview time. As soon as I walked into the interview at King Soopers a few days later, the manager informed me that they couldn't hire me because I'm fifteen and they already had several fifteen year olds working there. Even though I provided my age in the application, King Soopers waited until I was at the in-person interview to tell me that they were logistically unable to hire me.
For some reason, all applications are handled at the corporate level, and managers are not informed when interviews are scheduled. At both local stores I applied to, management was absolutely unprepared for my interview, and through two attempts I was never even able to begin an interview. King Soopers at both the corporate and local levels is horribly managed and is hell to get through as an applicant.
