Kirkland's interview questions

Process took less than a week. Pretty easy and laid back, basic retail interview. I applied in person and SM called me a few days later. A few days after the interview she offered me a position, started right away.

I got a call from the store manager to interview for the senior assistant manager position I had applied for. She set my interview time for 10:00, which I thought was a little weird since they opened right at 10. When I was let in the building she told me to look around while she got her team ready for the day. When that finally was done she brought over another girl and introduced her as the assistant manager, which was a red flag for me since that's the position I applied for. We did the interview on the sales floor. There were customers in the store so she kept breaking off conversation to greet them. I found the fact that we didn't do the interview in a private area extremely unprofessional. She started asking me if I was looking to leave my current job or just looking for supplemental income. I stated that I was under the impression that the position was full time with the possibility of being a store manager within 12 months. It's at this point that she informs me that the position I applied for had been filled for at least 3 weeks, even though I had only applied the week before, and that she had a part time manager position open and that she could give me up to 30 hours and sometimes 40 but I would receive no benefits. The entire interview itself lasted less than 15 minutes and I left really mad because I had driven close to 5 hours for the interview because I thought it was a full time management position.
