I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Fort Worth, TX) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied online for my local store and got an email back two weeks later about a hiring event for three different stores. When I got there, I was given a sheet to fill out and waited in a seating area. The hiring managers came and took groups of ten into a conference room upstairs for a group interview where we went around and introduced ourselves and then split into groups by what store we applied at and talked to that specific hiring manager.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (The Colony, TX) in May 2016
Interview
It was at one of their hiring fairs. I walked in and was guided to the back of the store where I sat with one or two other interviewees and filled out some paperwork. I then met with one of the co-managers who administered the interview. He asked basic questions about who I was and what I aspired to do. He seemed to understand that due to the nature of my plans that I would be leaving the company in a relatively short amount of time. He later explained how being a cashier worked and how much i would be paid, along with some of the many benefits of working of Kroger. It ended with signing an offer of employment and a drug test. Overall a nice and easy experience.
