I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2020
Interview
The interview process lagged at a time when it appears they need to hire many folks. Phone screening was straightforward, nothing surprising. Most of what was asked was about why I wanted the position, why I wanted to work at Mariano's as well as applicable employment experience.
Not bad at all. Just asked about your previous experience, education, schedule, a few questions about what you would do in certain situations with customers. Honestly I think anyone could get the job.
interview was an easy process. interview questions asked. asked for availability schedule. hiring manager was very polite and talkative. Discussed pay and the pay was reasonable. looking forward to working with this company and meeting new people
I was called in to interview soon after I applied. The interview was short and easy, although a little tedious. The environment was relaxed, but a little condescending. They were clearly looking for more long-term employees and did not show much interest when I mentioned going back to college.
