      3D Modeler I Interview

      Jul 10, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at LEARFIELD in May 2023

      Interview

Hindsight seeing the excessive interviews on glass door I've realized they are just passing time with fishing expeditions (just using interviews for information). It required an excessive 8 hour test, along with 3 different interviews with different people and teams. Everyone seemed enthusiastic except the Software Engineer at the end (which is always the case).

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Most questions were straight forward, however the last interview I ran into the Software Engineering Manager who suffers from a lot of the same personality issues I've seen in most software engineers in companies. They fool company into dependence and make their jobs sound too complicated, combined with their insecurity, they are always are hostile in interviews with useless questions like "How can we trust you," and just making stuff up to see what I would say "create a binary tree with Java utilizing...." Just like all "software engineers" his comments were sarcastic with no interest or care to learn about the people that's going to work with them. Especially true when someone might threaten their ability to coast along. They always come across as insincere. He was no exception. I knew by him rolling his eyes when asking me questions, sarcastic comments, and insincerity he's hurting their organization, but also that I wouldn't get the job due to his influence. All other people were positive and seemed excited.
