First step was a code review to be completed in 24hours. Quite easy, nothing special. Next were two interviews: Programming and System design. Programming interview was nothing out of the ordinary. Just solve two questions in one hour. Next interview was System Design, which was absolutely horrible. The interviewer's English was terrible and there was no interpreter provided. It took me 30 mins to understand half of what he was saying. I asked for clarification several times, but he would repeat the same things over, and over. I was literally about to say "Thank you for your interest in interviewing me, but I think we're just not a good match and would like to end this interview here." But I held myself back. At the end I was glad it was just over, felt like it lasted a decade. 2 weeks went by without a response. I figured they rejected me and was relieved. But to my surprise, I was invited for another interview which was a Behavioral interview. Here I again faced the same issue -> Worst English I've heard in Japan (and that's saying something!) with no interpreter. At the end of another 2 weeks, they made me an offer, which was quite a low-ball. I refused straight away. They said they'll keep my resume in their records for future reference. I politely asked to delete it as I do not plan on applying here ever again. Do not recommend. The interview process itself is torture. I dearly sympathize with employees of this company.
