I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at LINE (Tokyo) in Jul 2017

Interview

Applied through a recruiting agent. First was online coding tests that was kinda easy, then two rounds of interview on Skype. Each interview was in English (there was an translator), with two engineers/managers. Both interviews went well and pleasant, keep in mind to speak a little slower, in order to let the translator keep up. Interviewers were friendly so just relax. The next day of the final interview I was notified about the result.

The interview was via skype, there were three interviewers. I had a tough time trying to hear what they were saying. The voice quality seems to be the main problem.

They sent a test of 3 problems to solve. I solved that and then they sent another test. This was a subjective test with many questions. Based on my subjective test they did not shortlist me for next round. Do you really want to work for such a company who values subjective responses over real programming skill?
