I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lincoln Financial Group (San Ramon, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
Quick phone conversation where I talked about football the whole time and an in person interview with the Director of Recruiting and head of associate program. Job offered after that.

Mostly personality questions. only thing you should definitely say is that you want to be a financial advisor and have a target segment you would like to work with.
Applied online. Phone screening with recruiter then a 45 min interview with manager and another team member on zoom. Behavioral style questions. They talked for 15 mins about the position itself.

Question 1
What is something you’re hoping to get from this experience?
Very simple. All behavioral and felt more like a conversation not really an interview. The team I interviewed with was also very nice and welcoming and seemed transparent about their experience.

Tell me about a time you worked on a research project.
The interview process was smooth and engaging. Steps were laid out simply and my specific interviewer was very casual. The entire process was one I'd definitely do over again and should be the standard for a good interview process. Highly recommend applying to Lincoln Financial.
