I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LinkedIn (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
I was referred by an internal referral. After several weeks I had to reach out again to see why I had not been contacted. The person finally reached out and scheduled a call for a week out. The person on the interview asked very generic questions and said the next steps would be for them to set up an onsite interview with the hiring manager.
They asked me to take a 30 min personality test online which I did. I now believe that the test is for them to capture personality data for free and they may not even have the roles they're posting available. Thanks for wasting 30 min of my time. After 3 more weeks and several emails to the recruiter, I still had not heard anything so I reached out to the person that referred me again and they asked around. Later that afternoon I got the automated email saying they decided to not move forward. My friend apologized and will likely never refer again, I will never apply to LinkedIn again. I only write this to inform people that LinkedIn has some internal recruiting issues and until they figure it out save yourselves some time and look elsewhere.
LinkedIn’s sales interview process includes a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, skills assessment, sales presentation or role-play, and culture-fit conversations, evaluating sales ability, communication, resilience, and alignment with company values at each stage of evaluation.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Feb 2025
Interview
Excellent interview process it was, and i had a great time speaking with the hiring team. I answered all the questions and finally landed an offer. So yes that was my experience with the team and excellent
Multiple rounds, but they were all fair. Interviewers were kind and explained the process clearly and gave reasoning on their decisions. Super day was intense, but it was cool to meet people
