An old colleague reached out to me, saying LucidWorks was expanding based upon a recent round of funding. I spoke to a couple of people and then was flown out to San Francisco for face-to-face. When I got there, however, I found a team that was not ready to talk to me, and could not clearly identify what role I was interviewing for. From the start it was obvious that it was not going to work out; I offered to leave early to give everyone their time back. Finally, they never reimbursed me for my travel expenses.
