I do not want to disclose how I got my position at M&T Bank, but lets just say that I was able to squeeze my way into an interview with a hiring manager because I emailed a few people and found out within the bank this department was hiring.
My first part of the interview was a phone call that asked some basic interview questions. I don't want to lie and put the questions down because I honestly don't remember.
The second part was a face to face interview with the hiring manager of the department who also turns out to be the department manager as well. The actual interview lasted only 20-30 minutes, and a supervisor was in the office as well asking questions. I remember asking about the position, and remember that basically this position is described as 50% customer service and 50% collections and techniques. Also the question, "Why M&T was asked" which I promptly gave the BS answer that everyone probably gives "Because its a great place to start a career and grow"
