Applied, was contacted by a recruiter within a reasonable time; same person initiated a time for me to speak with the hiring manager, then after speaking with said manager I had to continue the interview process with two additional managers in the space. They kept having to re adjust the schedule because of “things that came up” but I’m pretty sure it’s because most managers leave the office 4 to 430pm. No issue there, I was pretty flexible. My concern with their hiring practice is that I never actually heard back, they put me through 4 rounds of interviews within a week to not give any feedback. In addition to that, it seems like they were trying to hire someone to do the job of three people, they wanted a business development person, an underwriter and someone who would sit at the branch and speak to the customers as well. Too unrealistic, and one of the managers was super condescending, she even went as far as comparing this company with my current employer and talking about her having insight as to how my current company works, because it’s her job to know the competition. I could understand her saying she’s up to date with our products and services but saying she knows the processes it’s down right ridiculous. Terrible feedback for that commercial team at m&t nyc.
