The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macquarie Group (New York, NY) in Mar 2010
Interview
First was an interview that consisted of behavioral and technical questions. There was also a mini case question regarding a valuation and acquisition of an airport. It was a phone interview and the interviewer was Australian and had a heavy accent, but it was clear enough. The psychometric test was near impossible and didn't even finish any of the 3 sections (quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning, reading comprehension).
The interview process was online. There were two panel style interviews. Knowing Java is a plus. You will be asked behavioral and technical questions. In the last interview they will do some brain teasers.
Started with online assessments that tested numerical and qualitative skills. Then a phone screen with some behavioural-based questions. Finally in person interviews which were 30-45 minutes and tested a blend of behavioural and technical questions.
