I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Macquarie Group (Sydney) in Apr 2008
Interview
It involved three separate interviews as well as psychometric testing. First interview was with the HR lady and basically was a filter to ensure I wasnt a dud. Then I met an Associate Director I would be working with for a tricky enough interview. He was pleasant but asked some tough questions. This was the KEY interview. The last interview was with the boss boss, who quite clearly was swayed by what the AD said. Basically, the key thing is to get on with the person you will be working with. If you cant get by the HR lady, you shouldnt be there. The boss man is basically just rubber-stamping the decision by the person you'll report. Oh, and then there's psychometric testing. There's not much you can do for that really. If you get it you get it.
