I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Macquarie Group (Sydney) in Nov 2021
Interview
Applied online, after a week received a call from the recruiter and they asked for a preferred time for an interview with the hiring manager. No interview invite was received till a day before the interview, chased the recruiter and the meeting details were sent a few hours before the interview.
Interview started on time and it was a casual chat. Interviewers were nice and however they had no clue about the role. I am working in the role for 3 years in a big 4 bank and is in high demand.
Based on my experience, I had less expectation from the hiring team to give me a call so I followed up after week and received a general rejection reply.
I know the role is in demand and I was not given a clear specify feedback. I was cautioned by a friend re the sloppy and don’t card attitude in hiring.

1. Tell me about yourself
2. What do you know about the role you have applied
3. Where do you see yourself in the role
