Interview
Applied online and received an email a few weeks later to do a phone interview. The interview was brief and conversational, though I felt that they asked very basic and subpar questions - a phone interview is bad enough because you don't really get to fully showcase your true potential through the phone, so to ask very vague questions is not the best approach. They said they would get back to me in one or two weeks, and after waiting three weeks I decided to send a follow up email. They claimed they were still working with managers to decide who to pursue for second round interviews, though I believe they just forgot about me. They finally sent an email a few days later (over three weeks after the initial interview) stating that they moved on.
I don't think you should leave candidates hanging and wasting their time, making them wait WEEKS for a response, resulting in them passing up on other opportunities. I don't understand why the process is so slow.. And at least be a little more personal when doing phone interviews. Don't try to rush it and not give a chance to those who are looking to gain the experience.
