Had 4 interviews which were straightforward, mostly behavioral. 3 out of the 4 interviewers were great, and as I was interviewing as a former employee at MSG looking to return, one of the people I got to interview with was a former coworker which was great. What was really not great was the last person I interviewed with, who showed up almost 20 minutes late and then rushed the interview and gave vague responses when I asked about next steps. Their HR communication was good until the last interview. After telling me I was one of the final candidates out of 2 or 3 and that they would let me know within the week, they ghosted me. I sent a follow up email after my 4th interview and HR told me “next steps were not confirmed” and that they would let me know when they were. I followed up one more time after a month of silence to let them know I had another offer but I was still interested in them, and they ghosted me again. I don’t mind not getting the job, that happens— what frustrates me is being told I am a finalist and going that far into the process and HR not even having the respect to send a rejection email or an update on what is going on. I understand not being able to send a rejection to all candidates, but if I’m one out of a few in the final stages it’s not difficult to just let people know. Reflected really poorly on MSG, and as someone who used to work there and was looking to come back I no longer have any interest in a company that treats prospective employees with this little respect.
