Was invited to early discussions about the recently open position, then suddenly asked not to continue any communication, and without the opportunity to discuss previous relevant project successes with a real hiring director. Wasn't bad breath --because it was all telephone discussion, and the recruiter's super-friendly tone wasn't matched with that same over-enthusiasm (now seems so fake in how they came across), Moral of this story: Such employers need to have QUALIFIED screeners, as these are the people who are actually in control of who gets hired from these early stages. For technology-related resumes, it arguably shouldn't be "the prettiest resume wins". Selections need to be made more by people WITH THE PROPER BACKGROUNDS in related fields, not journalism majors. Don't send in a boy or girl to do a man's or woman's job role !! "I you disagree with the logic, correct the grammar".
