3 weeks: 1). Initial 30 min phone screen with HR. 2). 4 individual in-person interviews - 30 min with HR, various team members, and the HM. I had just been a student associate there for two semesters, so I was essentially an internal candidate who was familiar with most of the folks I'd overlap with in the role. I flew to NYC on my own dime, $400, for it because it seemed like I had a great shot given my background and recent history/contacts there. The interview with the HM felt like a courtesy interview -- I wasn't asked questions about how my skills/qualifications relate to the role and instead had an informal, yet weirdly tense and stern (half the time), chat. HM was clearly winging it. Then I was ghosted by HR, never getting a rejection email. Unprofessional and an awful way to treat a recent employee, especially when the candidate spent a lot of money to make the trip to meet in-person. MSG is generally good about giving SAs first looks, and hiring them, for relevant open roles, but this wasn't a good experience.
