Generally, we schedule start dates 2+ weeks in advance (many times more) but in your case we obviously requested a much faster start. Thank you for doing that. That said, should you not be able to do that, we're always open and willing to work with you to schedule a start date that works for both of us. We would never expect you to bend over backwards or throw your previous employer under the bus by jumping ship early. Thanks!
