      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Madwire (Fort Collins, CO) in May 2017

      Interview

The Interview process was about a month long from start to finish (can be longer or shorter dependent on how quick a position needs to be filled). First submitting the application, the application can take a few hours for some but it is all with the intention of finding where you can fit in. The time between application submission and response can be awhile (for me it was 2 months) because they might not need a new designer at that time. It they respond you will be asked to complete a 'Homepage mock up' of a website, for a company that they give you (you will have about a week to complete this). After you submit your design they will either decide to pass or set up a phone interview. The Phone interview was quick, Basically asking a little about you and if you can come in for an In person interview (if not they will set up a skype interview). For me I had 2 in-person interviews, with different teams at the company. They want to make sure that you would fit in with your team (each team has their own culture in itself). If a team likes you they will ask you to join the Madwire team. If you accept, they will have you complete a background check as well as a drug test. If all goes well there then you are officially part of the family! ps. During the interview process I was surprisingly not asked about a "portfolio" but brought it anyways. We looked through a few things, but a big seller was a 'process book' of a project, to show my thought process when designing.
