I had the weirdest interview experience at the Houston area location.
Before my interview even started an interviewee before me walked out commenting that the manager was so rude to her. Servers stood at the host stand and chatted loudly how the girl was a psycho and making fun of her, mind you I was sitting at the bar where paying customers were eating and drinking and could hear them loud and clear.
I should’ve took it as a red flag but decided to interview anyways. The manager was not rude, but I could tell very inexperienced in interviewing. He made me feel uncomfortable with many awkward pauses and pointless questions. He asked me to schedule a second interview, but took like 5 minutes in an awkward silence to pick when I should come. He also answered and looked at his phone multiple times during the interview. The whole experience was so strange, and after I scheduled my second interview I knew immediately I needed to cancel it because this was not the place I wanted to work at.
As I was leaving I had to say excuse me three times to a group of servers chatting loudly about the “stupid cell phone policy” and they had no idea I was interviewing and could have been a customer hearing this conversation.
This is by no means to bash the restaurant, I just hope someone in management sees this review and takes some time to organize this location and teach employees more about professionalism, and fair warning to future interviewees I hope your experience is better than mine.
easy hired on spot barely asked questions “extensive” training. very cliquey. they pick favorites and will give better sections to their favorites. good money but that’s the worst part about working here
