      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Mainspring Energy

      Interview

One recruiter round One manager round One panel round onsite - you are expected to present a project you have worked on and then 5-6 people from the panel will interview you back to back. Plan on taking a full day's leave for this. Reference check - The manager calls up 2 of your references and talks to them for 15 mins. Apparently, everything from my work ethic, technical skills, personality was asked After this, they will make you wait 3 weeks for a decision. At this point, the recruiter will reach out to you requesting another interview with another hiring manager. The hiring manager brings an exam paper with 8 medium difficult questions for you to solve. A week goes by and then they tell you that your skills are not good enough and they end up reposting the job. Not sure if the company knows what they are looking for. A piece of advice would be - please don't ask the candidate for references and then call the references before you make an offer. Typically, a candidate has multiple companies that they are interviewing for and their references can't be subject to random calls from every company. So unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Bunch of beam bending questions, materials questions and standard stress strain curve questions. Some brainstorm sessions where they make up some component failure scenario and ask you to analyze it.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mainspring Energy

      Interview

First interview was just with the hiring manager, and included a tour of the facilities. Second was a 20 minute presentation, and then 1:1 and 2:1 technical interviews. Some of the questions felt a bit “academic”. The interviews were intense but everyone was friendly. The hiring manager followed up with an offer a week or two later.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mainspring Energy (Menlo Park, CA) in Apr 2019

      Interview

Went through recruiter phone screen, technical phone screen, and then 2nd technical phone screen. Recruiter then ghosted on me and I never heard back despite following up twice. Rejecting candidates is fine, but going dark after 3 interviews is unprofessional.
