Started with an initial phone call followed by a zoom interview with Eugene Ramirez. The next phase was meeting the prospective litigation team I’d be working with. The interviews were fairly lengthy but were a combination of interview and getting to know the rest of the team (seemed like vetting for personality matching).

I arrived on time for my interview and had a 10 minute wait to be taken to the Partner I was to interview with. As soon as I entered his office and sat down, I was told that he had a client calling within the next few minutes. He did not ask me a single question about my qualifications or experience and I was rushed out of the door in less than 3 minutes and told that he would schedule a follow up to meet with another partner. I suspected that it was because I am African -American and felt extremely disrespected. I spent more time waiting then I did in the interview.
